If you’re after a quick and easy way to add a little Easter cheer to your home this season, then this gorgeous DIY Easter bunting is just for you! It’s so nice and easy to make, plus there’s plenty of ways you can use the bunting (other than just stringing up as decorations!). Here’s how.
DIY Easter Bunting Materials
For this project you have a few ideas when it comes to the material to use. If you want to keep it simple, just opt for cardboard and simply layer the pieces on top of each other before stringing up.
You also have the opportunity to use Cricuts very versatile sticky cardstock – which is what I went for here. I simply peeled and stuck the sticky layer onto carboard and voila!
Cutting the eggs
You’ll find this project on the Cricut Design Space if you search their Easter projects (and it’s free!).
Simply print the eggs onto the sticky cardstock. Of course, you can chop and change the sizing depending on how big you want your bunting.
Next, hide all the contouring on the Easter egg image then print the backing shape (as seen here). You can peel and stick the sticky card directly onto the contoured layer to get this end result.
With some string and tape, you can pop the eggs up onto bunting ready to be displayed.
More great ideas
These Easter eggs are super versatile and there’s so much you can do with them. Here’s just a few ideas for inspiration.
Easter Egg Hunt
Instead of backing your eggs with string, pop them onto wooden skewers and stick them into the ground outside. They make the perfect decoration to start off your Easter egg hunt and look adorable as well!
Hide and Seek
Back your eggs with a little blu-tak and hide them around your home. Once you’re ready, set the kids off to find them! See who comes back with the most, or work as a team to get them together.
Cards
Write on the back of each egg and hand them out as cards this Easter! Perfect way to show a loved one you care.
