Are you looking for the perfect way to add a floral touch to that next party of yours? No matter how low-key or fancy your theme is, this floral ice is the perfect pop of colour and splash of floral to bring together any party. And it’s so simple and easy to do! Here’s how to create your own floral ice to perfectly accompany that awaiting bottle of champagne.
How To: Floral Ice
There’s two things you need to bring together these stunning ice:- An ice cube tray. The bigger the better as it really shows off the flowers inside. Check out this one here.
- Flowers!
Collecting Flowers
You can go down the route of purchasing edible flowers, but the costs can add up very quickly. The truth is, no-one is actually drinking or eating the ice, so do the flowers really need to be edible? If you ask us, no! We went with flowers from the garden. Simply took a stroll around the neighbourhood and collected some floral delights along the way. Don’t forget to also stock up on the leaves as well. These perfectly complement the flowers when they’re put into the ice.Plan Ahead
The most important thing you need to do is plan ahead. Ice takes time to set, so it’s not something you want to be doing right before the party.
Plus, depending on the ice trays you have, you might have to make a few batches, waiting for each one to set.
With this in mind, don’t be afraid to plan your floral ice a few days in advance. Make it in batches, empty out into your ice tray, and then onto the next one.
Making your floral ice
Now for the easy part: making the ice.
- Fill up the ice cube tray.
- Drop the flowers and leaves in. Carefully pick each one off and pop into the water.
- Place in freezer.
Voila! It really is as easy as 1,2,3 and the results speak for themselves.
