This hedgehog cheese dip is the perfect way to dress up the food table at a party. It not only looks fantastic, but it is nice and tasty too!

Ingredients

  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1 packet French onion cheese dip
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme leaves
  • 5 sprigs fresh parsely
  • 4 rashers bacon
  • Almonds (whole)
  • One black olive
  • One blueberry
  • Crackers, of your choosing

How To

  1. Chop up the bacon into little squares.
  2. Heat fry pan on medium heat. Add bacon and cook.
  3. Set aside to cool.
  4. Chop up parsley.
  5. Pop cream cheese and cheddar into a mixing bowl and beat with a hand-held mixer until fluffy.
  6. Add in the French onion packet, lemon juice, thyme and chopped parsley and cooled bacon.
  7. Blend thoroughly until combined.
  8. Place in fridge for 2 hours or overnight to chill.
  9. Pull out on the day and use clean hands to shape the mixture.
  10. Cut the black olive in half lengthways and use for eyes.
  11. Use blueberry at the end for nose.
  12. Place almonds as spikes on hedgehog’s back.
  13. Spread biscuits around the outside of the hedgehog.
