Whether you’re looking for an awesome birthday party location, or for a fun experience gift for a loved one, Raging Waters Sydney is the place to be. We check it out one HOT Sydney day and here’s what we found with our Raging Waters Sydney parties & gifts review (along with plenty of tips to help you navigate the park the best way possible).

It’s the biggest, best water theme park with more than 30 slides for you to race your way down, but it does add up to be a BIG (and expensive) day out for the family. This is what makes it the perfect gift option, offering up an experience that will be remembered for years to come. Or better yet, host a party there and treat everyone to a day they won’t forget!

What You’ll Find

Water slides, more water slides and even more water slides. In fact, there are four towers across the park, dedicated to a variety of different thrill-seeking waterslides for adventurers of all capabilities.

When you’re ready for a break, you can head on over to Dinosaur Lagoon and leisurely sail down the waters on an inflatable ring. Head over to the wave pool and join the chaos of jumping the waves. Or simply stick around at the Splash Pads and enjoy the water.

A Fun Day Out

Purchase online tickets

Start off by purchasing your tickets online before the big day, so you’re guaranteed entry. On hot, Summer days during the school holidays, you can expect the park to actually reach capacity. This is why if you can plan for during school term (day off anyone?), or pick a cloudy day (and avoid the sun!) you might have better luck on the rides.

If you do go on a busy day, be prepared for queues! We waited over an hour for one big slide, which wasn’t ideal – but to be expected. The staff were lovely and splashed water on us as we waited to keep us cool.

Raging Xpress

If you have the funds, consider purchasing the Raging Xpress. It’s $99 per person, but let’s you skip the queues! You end up waiting one quarter the amount of time compared to everyone else, which adds up to be a fair few extra slides.

Cabanas

Another thing to note is that unless you get there early, you won’t have much luck finding somewhere to park yourself for the day. Most spots are at The Wave Pool, and these fill up fast. To avoid this, you can grab yourself a cabana for the day.

We were treated to a Wave Pool VIP Cabana, which came with a TV, fridge, safe and sun loungers. We came back to it throughout the day to take a break, cool off and even order some food (which they bring to you, no queues!). It was so worth it and made our day that much easier.
