Are you looking for a unique theme that can be used at any age? This is the perfect pick – and one many people have never heard of before! Amy shares how she pulled together this gorgeous theme for her little one. Enjoy.

Setting up a Toast for Hazel

One in a Melon and Onederland were top of our list for themes till I saw an Instagram post for a Toast theme with little kawaii faces and we made a last-minute switch. I’m so glad we did! My little toast lover was in heaven, and I was so happy with the whole day.

We don’t believe in balloons so I made some bunting that we can now reuse year after year.

Cookies

It was my first-time attempting sugar cookies and after watching a few you tube videos I decided to give it a go. I was so happy with how they turned out, the lovely lady at the Cookie Cutter Queen even made me a custom pretzel cutter to suit.

The pretzel was done using royal icing and the toast were fondant.

Cake

I have been making my own cakes for the last 5 years, and although I can make my own batter, I always use the Aldi packet mix vanilla cake as it just tastes amazing and I always get so many compliments.

I added some white chocolate to my buttercream and each layer had a spread of good quality strawberry jam. The buttercream recipe was from Cupcake Jemma.

Setting up the Food

The set up for food was so simple on the day, was just a matter of placing out all the ingredients and a toaster and people made their own.

FOod

I borrowed several things from friends and family, such as the huge wooden boards and the Kmart doughnut holder for the bagels. I love to share party supplies, it saves on money and storage.

All the condiments were in random glass jars that I have collected over the years. I used a chalk pen to write what each thing was, but sadly they rubbed off easily so would recommend a permanent marker as it will come off in the dishwasher but not on the day.

The lovely pink plates and serviettes were from Big W. After cake we raised a glass of sparkling apple to juice to our gorgeous baby girls first year.
