Whether your child is a dinosaur lover or simply loved the Jurassic World movies, this cake is a real winner.
Kristie recently set up the most amazing Jurassic World party for her 3-year-old boy Aiden. You can check it out here.
This amazing three-layered Jurassic World cake is made using fondant. The great part is, you can use a fake layer of foam in there if the party is small and you don’t need that much cake. It gives it the amazing effect, without wasting that delicious cake in the process.

Jurassic World Cake Top
The top of this Jurassic Cake is made from fondant. No easy task! This is definitely something you might want to outsource to a baker. You can then create the rest of the cake yourself and just add the fondant dinosaur on top. It’s the perfect effect.
Around the side Kristie has use some dinosaur figurines, which not only look great, but are very easy!
Finally, she has printed off her son’s name after designing in on the computer and added it to the cake. The perfect final touch.

You have a few options to make this cake easier:
- Get some help: you can outsource the top of the cake as suggested above. This means you can still DIY the rest of it and add the amazing creation on top. This takes the pressure off you!
- Work with buttercream: forget the fondant and simply cover the cake in buttercream. You can make use of the dinosaur figurines on the cake and still add the printed sign for added effect.
- Go with one layer: the more layers you build, the harder to work with. Cut down to just the one layer to make it more manageable.
