Does anyone else have a Barbie obsessed child at home? We certainly do! I know it’s going to be a hot theme choice for parties in our home this year. And for good reason. I’ve watched the latest Barbie shows and they are lots of fun. Steph has pulled together this amazing Barbie party for her daughter and it’s both simple and fun! Here’s her DIY tips.
Barbie Party Decorations
Most party supplies were from Discount Party Supplies online. They decorated the yard with streamers, balloons and tissue pom-poms. Simple, yet effective!
Barbie Party Food
For food, they had jelly cups, fruit cups, fairy bread, lollies, chips, popcorn, wraps and dips and veggies.
They made a pink punch with creaming soda, lemonade and cloudy apple juice. Quite a simple setup but one of the most fun parties!
Party Games
For activities, they set up nail painting (every little girl’s dream – and many boys too!) in the marquee and glitter hairspray, and then played pass the parcel.
DIY Party Bags
One of my favourite parts of this gorgeous Barbie party has to be the amazing DIY party bags station, where the birthday girl can fill up the treat bags herself with the party favours. So much fun!
They punched holes in pink paper bags and threaded with tulle for the party bags. Inside they filled with barbie cookies, a few lollies, lip gloss, rings and butterfly clips.
Barbie Party Cake
The cake was just made by Steph! Her daughter has been asking for a Barbie cake all year so she was excited to get to make one! Steph just carved out a regular cake into the dress shape and covered in buttercream swirls.
