KFC cake that looks like real chicken and chips from KFC

KFC Cake How To

Are you just a little crazy for your crispy fried chicken? The delicious batter of goodness, crunching with every bite? Perhaps so crazy, you just might want to turn your favourite meal into a stunning cake! This is exactly what one mum has done, and as you can see, she has done a fabulous job. Cake or KFC, who could tell?! Check out her KFC cake how-to guide.

What you need…

  • 1 x caramel mud cake from Woolworths
  • 2 x white chocolate mud cakes from Woolworths
  • Caramel sauce
  • Cornflakes
  • Caramilk chocolate block
  • Bucks and containers from KFC: KFC was happy to provide everything needed for the cake. Simply head into your local and just ask!

Now to get started on the cake!

Start by removing the icing from your white chocolate mud cakes. Simply cut into a fry shape.

Next, move onto your caramel mud cake. Once again, remove the icing and start forming the cake into chicken pieces (don’t forget the popcorn chicken!). You can use a little caramel sauce once again to help moisten the cake and make it easier to mould.

Freeze for 30 minutes so it sets.

Just before they’re ready to come out, melt the caramilk chocolate on the stove. While it’s melting, crush up some cornflakes in a bowl.

Pull ‘chicken’ out of the freezer, and dunk into melted caramilk chocolate. Next, roll it in the crushed cornflakes. Pop in the fridge until ready to serve. The ‘nuggets’ don’t need to be dipped and covered – just leave them as cake.

Time to serve!

Grab your cake board and get all the containers from KFC ready to go. For the mash and gravy, add a spoonful of cream to the bottom of the container and top it with caramel sauce.

Pop the ‘chips’ upright into a chip container, layer the chicken in the bucket and next the popcorn chicken, then pop a few nuggets on the board.

There you have it – a delicious KFC cake ready to go!
