If you’re pulling together a party, here are some extra tips to help you out when shopping for those all-important party supplies:
- Pick a theme first. There’s no point going out and buying your party supplies, if you don’t yet know the theme of your party. The theme brings it all together and creates a unison look for your party! Bluey party supplies are the perfect way to bring together a Bluey party!
- Have a Google. When you do decide on a theme, before locking it in, it helps to do a quick Google first. You want to make sure it’s nice and easy to shop party supplies for that theme. Otherwise, you will find it a challenge getting everything you need!
- Shop in advance: it can help to source things from overseas, and it can certainly save you money in the process. The only downside to this, is that it can take a long time for the party supplies to arrive. It helps to shop well in advance to make sure you have everything you need on the big day.
- Pick some colours. Even with a theme, it helps to pick three central colours for your party. This means, everything that isn’t on theme, can still be in the right colours. For example, your main colours for a Bluey party might be: orange, blue and white. Instead of shopping everything with Bluey splashed all over, swap some items for plain colours. You can have plain blue napkins, plain orange, white and blue balloons, or even streamers. It helps break up all the patterns and create a less busy look.
- Take lots of photos. We are often so busy running around on the big day that photos get forgotten. Once the set up is done, go ahead and take plenty of photos before the kids even arrive. Once the kids are there, go and ask another adult to be on dedicated photo-taking duties. That way, it won’t get forgotten.
