Large Dinosaurs
These Kmart dinosaurs (click here & click here) were a great size for decorations. I then spray painted them with gold paint from bunnings to suit our theme.
Using coloured paper and some small pom poms (spotlight) I made some little party hats for the dino’s and just blue-tacked them to the dinosaurs.
For the large Brontosaurus, I used the same twine from the party bags to tie a large balloon to the tail.
I had the balloon personalised from Shine Stationery.
Party Bags
These dinosaur party bags were easy to make.
I folded the tops of the bags over; hole punched two holes and tied the little dinosaurs on with twine. Was a great little way to dress up the favours and also added an extra level of decoration.
Grazing Table
For the grazing table I purchased discs of timber cut from tree logs from Facebook marketplace and used them as platforms for the dinosaurs and items of food.
Various timber boards and platters were used to display the remainder of the food.
I cut greenery from my garden and the local surrounds and used a variety of jars and bottle I had around the house to display them amongst the food.
For a second birthday, I displayed a range of sweets and savouries for everyone to enjoy.
Macarons (Woolworths), Fairy bread, and fruit made up the sweets.
Dinosaur Cake
For the cake, I again used small dinosaurs from Kmart that was sprayed gold.
Kinder Surprises cut to look like dinosaur eggs topped the cake and other decorations included Rafaello’s, macarons, Darrell Lea mint choc balls and Maltesers that I broke in half.
